Old maid

Obviously, it's not Rita I'm referring to. Rita and Axel enjoyed a good game old maid on our vacation. It was a bit unorthodox though because Rita did her best to get the maid and not to get rid of it.

Get me a dentist

Rita and Cecilie made chocolate muffins. We caught then digging too much into the chocolate. They had fun.

Garden decor

This is Rita's project. I don't know what is the purpose of putting all gardening tools in the tree but you can step on the shovel and get into the tree fast.

Hole in the ground

Ellen and I had planned several trips for when we stayed in the summerhouse in Höör but those plans were all changed when we returned from Taberg. The boys got so excited about a hole in the ground. It was obviously the place to make a hide away. It didn't take them long to find a lot of planks and plywood boards and make up a construction plan. I got a long shopping list with nails, screws and what not and was sent off to the city. Then they went to work....In 3 days we had a perfect shelter with room for all 5 of us. It was a perfect end to our vacation in Sweden.

Cyclecross

Before it started snowing in Sweden the kids had found some old bikes. They also discovered a hill - which is a bit steeper than appears on the video. Well, you can guess what happened. They had a lot of fun racing down the hill.

Bubble show

The kids and I went to bubble festival at the Childrens' museum yesterday. An American artist, Tom Noddy, performed the most awesome show. It was amazing what he could do with soap bubbles. Here is a little video of the performance. I think it's easy to hear how excited the boys were about the show.

Father weekend

Axel and I went on "father weekend" with Axel's school class. We had a lot of fun. Axel and his very good friend Hannah fed each other flødeboller blind folded - it was just a bit messy. Last night we had a bon fire in the forrest. It was cold but very special. We sang songs and enjoyed each others company.

Awesome weather

I can't remember any month of June being this warm. Today it was almost 90 F! Yesterday we went to a near by lake and had fun. Rita is still learning to swim. Hence the life jacket.

Beware!

It was with some intrepidation we followed this truck in Sweden. Couldn't see the driver though. It was a definite photo op.
